Creating the right impression starts with envelope choice. For smaller business/sales mailings you may want to put the name and address on a non-window envelope to make it look more personal and to include a personalised letter.
If you do, it’s crucial to ensure the address information on the letter matches the address information on the envelope. You don’t want Bill Smith to open his letter and see it start ‘Dear Mr Jackson’. When filling, if you get one out-of-order, all that follow will be wrong too. When filling your envelopes on these mailings make regular checks to ensure the order and matching is maintained correctly to avoid a mailing disaster. This is a more costly method of mailing due to the extra time taken in matching and checking but can seriously increase the chances of being read and viewed as a personal message.
